Located at 225 Covington Dr. in Detroit, the Palmer Lodge Apartments were designed by Louis Chesnow and Frank Wiedmaier in the Old English style. Ground was broken on June 20, 1924, and the building officially opened on April 18, 1925.
As the first building constructed in the Merrill Palmer subdivision, the four-story structure contained 50 suites and set the tone for the surrounding development. It was later included in the Palmer Park Apartment Building Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 21, 1983.
