Historic Detroit

Every building in Detroit has a story — we're here to share it

Margaret T. Fisher Mansion

This 5,100-square-foot, six-bedroom residence designed and built by the Frazer-Cousens Building Co. was the residence of Margaret Fisher.

The Fisher brothers had the beautiful new home built for their mother, who previously lived at 101 Longfellow in Boston-Edison after the death of her husband in 1921. Margaret lived here until her death in 1936.

According to the Detroit Free Press from an article in 1936, this is the only group photo taken of Detroit's seven Fisher brothers along with their mother Margret T. Fisher.
