The John A. Kunsky house, featuring a large half-timbered design, is a unique residential project created by the notable theater designer C. Howard Crane.
Known for his work on various theaters in John A. Kunsky's Detroit empire, including the Madison (demolished), the Capitol (now the Opera House), and the Palms (now The Fillmore).
Crane seemingly applied his theatrical expertise to this neo-Tudor rendition of the house.
