This 16,000-plus-square-foot house was built for Frederick K. Stearns, who took over his father's pharmaceutical company and made it a global player, eventually opening labs in Australia, South America and across Europe.
It was built in 1902 and designed by Alpheus W. Chittenden.
It is currently owned by Eric and Rachel Mitchell, who have been restoring it the last few years.
