This house was designed and built as a spec house by Clarence E. Day. The first owner was Milton L. Briggs, Vice President of the Briggs Manufacturing Co., manufacturer of automobile bodies.

It was last sold in June 2023 for $950,000.

Tragically, the nearly 100-year-old mansion suffered extensive damage from a fire on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. The owner, who had been staying in the carriage house during renovations, were unharmed.
