850 Virginia Park (Dr. James H. Boulter House)

The Dr. James H. Boulter House at 850 Virginia Park Street was designed by Baxter, O'Dell & Halpin for prominent Detroit surgeon Dr. James H. Boulter and built in 1914–1915. Boulter was a respected Detroit surgeon who served on the staff of Grace Hospital and as a consulting surgeon for the Detroit United Railway Company. The house is an good example of the Colonial Revival style, with strong Georgian influences and is part of the Virginia Park Historic District.
