Clarence W. Banwell Home

The home at 19450 Shrewsbury Road in the Sherwood Forest Historic District was designed by J.H. Gustav Steffens for a building company owned by Clarence W. Banwell.

According to an article in the Detroit Free Press from April 13, 1930, the 12-room home opened for inspection on April 6, 1930, and attracted several hundred visitors. Construction features of this brick home include I-beams of steel and triple bridging.
